AKA Storyteller

Artists Helping the Homeless donated this artwork to the City of Parkville in 2010 acknowledging that Twain once used a town named Parkville in one of his novels. In this sculpture, Twain seems to be beckoning you to sit down and listen to him tell a story. It can be found in Pocket Park in downtown Parkville.

Artists Helping the Homeless (AHH) was created by Kar Woo, a Kansas City businessman and artist, to help fund a program to feed the homeless through art events and sales. A receptacle for donations to AHH sits near the sculpture.
