AKA The Village Boys

This work honors all children who dream of Olympic glory. The boys in the sculpture are poor, as evidenced by their ill-fitting clothes, yet they are rich in dreams and determination. They use a tree branch to pull up on due to a lack of training equipment. The sculpture is meant to encourage the young to reach for their dreams, regardless of where they start in life.

This sculpture is part of the International Sculpture Garden at the Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens.
