Blue Spring

Blue Spring

On the northwest corner of the junction of Interstate 70 and Missouri Highway 7, is this sculpture called “Blue Spring.” It was inspired by and depicts the original spring from which the city of Blue Springs took its name.

In the middle of a large berm sits the sculpture. From top to bottom, it is 25 feet tall and is 15 feet across at its widest point. The stainless-steel bars are coated in blue and purple pigments to depict water. The spring sits atop a concrete column.

The sculpture Jet Stream sits across the highway to the east.
