The artist, Mike Sneller, wanted to show off his preferred medium, steel. Steel is a material that comes from the earth. This sculpture was originally installed in front of Parkview Manor at 300 N Chestnut in Olathe. When the downtown revitalization project that resulted in Civic Center Park was completed in 2014, it was moved to its new home in the north half of the park next to the reflecting pool. It is also across the street to the east from Olathe City Hall.
