Tree in the Park
An impression of a tree made from treated, unstained wood. Four boards make up the trunk of the tree and six rectangular elements made of two boards each make up the top of the tree. Carriage bolts were used to fasten the elements together.
This artwork was Blue Springs’ first commissioned artwork placed on public grounds. It was a joint effort between the Art Committee of Blue Springs and Blue Springs Bank. It sits at the southeast pedestrian entrance of Burrus Old Mill Park and faces Walnut Street.
