City of Fountains and Monarch Butterflies
This painting captures the spring scene at the Henry Wollman Block Fountain with few KC landmarks. All flowers and plants in the painting are native plants: Purple Coneflowers, Black Eyed Susan, Salvia, etc. People in KC deeply love Monarch butterflies so I include few of them happily flying in the scene. The KC Streetcar will finish the extension this year so there is a streetcar in the painting driving south on Main Street, with a Monarch butterfly caterpillar design decoration.
