City of Fountains Bus Tours

A Better Way to See Kansas City

This guided 2-hour tour takes you to some of Kansas City’s most recognizable fountains and other well-known destinations across the city.

Spanish and French translation is available for guests visiting Kansas City for the World Cup, and tickets are $75 per rider.

Notable Fountains on the Tour

Discover some of Kansas City’s most recognized fountains along the route.

Mill Creek Park Fountain

The best known and most photographed of Kansas City’s fountains, Mill Creek Park Fountain has become one of the city’s most familiar images. Its monumental figures and long history make it a defining symbol of the City of Fountains.

Eagle Scout Tribute Fountain

This fountain is built around a monumental marble sculpture that once stood at New York’s Pennsylvania Railroad Station. Its eagle emblem and formal setting make it one of the more distinctive memorial fountains on the tour.

Firefighters Memorial Fountain

Created in response to the 1988 explosion that claimed six firefighters, this fountain serves as a lasting tribute to Kansas City firefighters and those lost in the line of duty. Its bronze figures and memorial setting make it one of the tour’s most moving stops.

Rose Garden Fountain

Located in Loose Park’s rose garden, this fountain continues a long tradition of water features in the space dating back to the 1930s. Its setting gives it a quieter character and makes it one of the tour’s most picturesque stops.

Where the Tour Begins

Tours depart from the Mill Creek Park Fountain, located east of the Country Club Plaza at W 47th Street and Mill Creek Parkway.

As Kansas City’s most recognized fountain, Mill Creek Park offers an easy-to-find gathering place before departure. Street parking and nearby public garages are available throughout the Plaza area.

Guests may also arrive via the KC Streetcar and walk from the Plaza stop to the meeting location. The stop is less than a five-minute walk from the fountain, and the fountain is visible from the stop.

Please plan to arrive 30 minutes early to allow time for parking, check-in, and a brief introduction to the Mill Creek Park Fountain.
