Loose Park Lake Fountain – Although I’ve painted the Rose Garden fountain in Loose Park many times, this was the first time I painted the lake fountain. I wasn’t sure from what angle I would paint it, but when I arrived to take reference photos in April, the wisteria was in full bloom. Knowing that the blooms were temporary, I felt compelled to make them a feature of the painting. Titled “Springtime Serenity,” this piece is painted on cold-press watercolor paper with transparent watercolor and gouache.
