Spring Open Capture Art Show

Discover how local artists bring Kansas City’s fountains to life through expressive, original artwork.

The Spring Open Capture online art show features 2D works inspired by the Henry Wollman Bloch Fountain, the Meyer Circle Seahorse Fountain, and Loose Park Lake Fountain. Artists from Missouri and Kansas were invited to interpret the fountains in their own artistic style.

This year’s call drew submissions from 32 participating artists, resulting in a diverse and moving showcase. Each featured artwork is available for purchase, and when you buy a piece, 25% of the sale supports The City of Fountains Foundation in preserving the public art that inspired it.

We invite you to scroll through the galleries and explore the creativity behind each fountain-inspired piece.
