Preserving History – Conservation Work on the Lewis and Clark Sculpture at Case Park

The Corps of Discovery sculpture at Case Park, depicting the Lewis and Clark expedition, recently received much-needed care, thanks to the combined efforts of the Ciociola Conservation team and the City of Fountains Foundation.

This project involved the removal of paint vandalism, detailed cleaning, and a protective waxing to restore the statue’s original beauty and resilience.

Projects like these are made possible by the generous support of donors who share our commitment to preserving Kansas City’s public art and historical monuments.

Donations fund vital conservation efforts, allowing us to address the ongoing wear and vandalism that many of our monuments endure.

By contributing, you’re helping protect these iconic landmarks for future generations to appreciate and enjoy. Every gift makes an impact, whether it’s a restoration project today or preventive care for tomorrow.
